Terms and conditions for the rental of The Roundhouse Hut can be found below, please make sure you read them carefully prior to booking your stay with us.
Once a booking has been confirmed and the deposit has been paid, it is the guest/hirer who is responsible for paying the remaining balance/cost of the holiday.
Guests must be age 18 years and over at the time of booking.
Payment
The Roundhouse Hut requests 50% of the full payment which is due at the time of the booking/hiring of our Sheppard’s hut this is non-refundable. The final balance is due 30 days before the holiday starts. The guest/hirer will be sent email reminders so that they are given waring that the final balance is now due. Where the guest/hirer fails to pay the remaining balance by the due date of their stay with us the booking may be cancelled, and the deposit will be retained.
For any bookings that are made less than 30 days before arrival the full amount will need to be paid when booking your stay with us.
Cancellations/refunds
The owner reserves the right to refuse or cancel any bookings already made if the Sheppard’s hut is unavailable for any reason. If in the event that a booking is cancelled by us our liability will be limited to the return in full the money already paid; our liability would not extend beyond that.
We highly recommend that you have holiday insurance which you take out prior to your stay, which includes cancellation insurance so that you are covered should any sickness or unavoidable reasons occur in which you have to cancel your stay with us.
Cancellations due to Coronavirus
Any bookings cancelled due to the coronavirus restrictions will be refunded if we have to close.
No smoking policy
The Roundhouse hut has a no smoking policy inside the Sheppard’s hut, and anyone caught smoking will be charged an additional fee for a deep clean of the property. You can smoke outside the property on the patio and use the bin for any cigarette ends.
Number of people using the accommodation:
The Roundhouse Hut is suitable for 2 guests to stay only, day visitors are welcome but not permitted to stay overnight.
Arrival/Departure times:
The Roundhouse Hut is available to guests from 2pm on the first day of your stay and must be vacated by 10am on the last day of your stay. Guests are asked to leave the property clean and tidy when they leave.
Breakages
Please take care when staying in our shepherds hut. Any Breakages or damage to the property must reported as soon as they occur and will need to be paid for.
WIFI
The Roundhouse Hut does have available Wifi and the details can be found in the welcome pack. However due to living in a small rural village the Wifi can sometimes intermittent and may not always work for during your stay, these are circumstances that are beyond our control.
The Fire pit and Woodburner
Guests and day visitors must take responsibility for their own health and safety around the woodburner, fire pit and any BBQ’s.
A complimentary basket of logs will be provided on arrival. If additional logs are required, they can be purchased from the village shop or nearby supermarkets. Please note that only logs should be used, no coal or other fuels permitted.
Complaints
If you have any complaints, you must make them know to us when they occur and not wait till the end of your stay.
Limited mobility
We would advise that any guests with limited mobility contact us prior to booking.
Pets
We do not allow guests to have pets stay due to animals that are present in nearby fields.
Liability
The owner of the site/hut cannot except responsibility for any accidents to guests, personal injury, material loss or damage to personal property including vehicles. The maximum liability accepted by the owner will be the total cost of the holiday as paid to us by the guest. As the owner of the site/hut we reserve the right to gain access to the property at any reasonable time during your stay for the purpose of repair, emergency maintenance or any other need. The owners reserve the right to ask guests not adhering to the terms and conditions to leave the site without a refund with immediate effect.
Declaration
I have read the booking terms and conditions and agree on behalf of all guests in my party to abide by the conditions. I understand that the balance must be paid at least 30 days before the start of my stay. I confirm that I am over 18 years of age.
