The Roundhouse Hut is situated in the beautiful village of Chapel Amble close to the North Cornwall coastline, and the nearby Camel Estuary. Being one of the most sought after locations in the UK. Cornwall has so much to offer with its scenic coastline walks, beautiful beaches, quaint villages and historic towns. When out and about, there are numerous exquisite eateries and plenty of local attractions to enjoy on your visit. On the other hand it is also the perfect spot to just chill out and unwind from the stresses of a busy life in a proper Cornish village..… The following are a selection of the more frequently visited places to investigate.

Polzeath

Nearby Polzeath is small village boasting a big beach and is known for being an outstanding surfing location. But equally if you enjoy rambling, the coast path on the New Polzeath side is on National Trust land, is well kept and offers some spectacular views. If you wish to have a go at Surfing there are shops in the village that offer surfing lessons, and paddle boards to rent out as well as surfboard & wetsuit rental. There are many restaurants and pubs within the village itself where you can enjoy a good meal and drink should you wish: The Waterfront Bar and Grill, The Atlantic, The Oystercatcher, The Cracking Crab and lots of beach cafes for ice creams, light lunches and coffees.

Padstow & Rock

Padstow is short drive from us by car or an even shorter ferry trip by boat from the beach at Rock. This thriving fishing port made famous by Rick Stein, is located in an area of outstanding beauty, with its scenic coast paths, beautiful harbour, boutique shops, fine dining restaurants, local pubs and cafes are all situated within the town itself. Padstow is also at one end of the camel trail cycle path should you wish to rent some bikes for the day and cycle the trail to Wadebridge, giving you the opportunity to see some of the local wildlife along the estuary such as oyster catchers, egrets, and the many resident waders.

Other attractions you may wish to consider in Padstow are the Sealife safaris where you have an opportunity see some of the inhabitants of our estuary and coastal waters. On a good day, this could include Dolphins, seals, sunfish or even basking sharks, as well as giving you a chance to admire the beautiful coastline from a different perspective. And when Padstow has given you a great day to remember, a portion of Mr. Steins fish and chips might make the perfect end to that day out.

Newquay

Newquay is the next coastal resort as you head in a westerly direction. It is renowned for its picture-perfect sandy beaches including those that are world famous for surfing, those being Fistral and Lusty Glaze. When visiting Newquay for the day why not enjoy some of the attractions it has to offer such as the Blue Reef Aquarium, maybe Newquay Zoo and perhaps a spot of golf or a spa day experience. As you would expect, there is a vast selection of shops, restaurants, bars and cafés for you to experience on your visit to Cornwall.
